NGO celebrates foundation day in Cotton University campus
The NGO named 'Touch of Humanity - Let's be Human' on Sunday celebrated its third foundation day

GUWAHATI: The NGO named 'Touch of Humanity - Let's be Human' on Sunday celebrated its third foundation day with a function at the Sudmerson Hall in the Cotton University campus here, which also saw conferring of the first awards by the organization for achievements in various spheres.
The award for Social Work was presented to Dr Akshita Narain; the award for Health was presented to Dr Sunil Kumar Ram; the award for Sports was presented to Tapan Kumar Das; and the award for Music was presented to Padmanav Bordoloi.
Assam's former DGP and serving member of the State Police Accountability Commission, Mukesh Sahay and cultural icon Zubeen Garg attended the event as chief guests.
Various cultural troupes performed Bihu and other folk dances, which included a Xatriya dance performance by national award-winning artiste Rodali Bora.
