NGO Early Birds elects new officials

Early Birds, an NGO working in the field of nature and wildlife protection, held its Annual General Meeting

GUWAHATI: Early Birds, an NGO working in the field of nature and wildlife protection, held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Gauhati Commerce College campus on Sunday.

According to a press release, a new committee has been elected with Moloy Baruah as president, Dr Satyendra Nath Choudhoury and Dr Monoranjan Choudhoury as vice-presidents, Gautam Choudhoury as general secretary, Panchanan Barman as assistant general secretary and Mukul Talukdar as treasurer, along with nine executive members.

The meeting also demanded that the State Government should seriously take up the issues of encroachment in the protected areas of the State, including notified wetlands and beels.
