GUWAHATI: BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) general secretary and MP Dilip Saikia on Friday debunked the rumours of the party's secret alliance with other political parties in the BTC (Bodoland Territorial Council).

"The BJP has formed alliance with the public of BTC," said Saikia.

He said that reports have been published in various media houses that the BJP has secretly allied with the BPF (Bodoland People's Front) and UPPL (United People's Party Liberal). "These false statements have been given by the leaders of the BPF and UPPL. We will contest the elections alone," the leader underlined.

He said the main motive of the BJP is justice, equal digital and all round development of all the communities residing in the BTC.

"We support the Governor rule in BTC. Many political parties have highlighted their undemocratic sentiments by opposing the governor's rule in the region," he claimed.

"At a time when the people of BTC welcomed the Governor rule, these political parties are giving undemocratic statements in a bid to come into power," the leader pointed out.
