North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd celebrates glorious 28 years

 GUWAHATI: North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi) celebrated its 28th Foundation Day on Wednesday.

To mark this special occasion, NEDFi has invited more than 100 women beneficiaries of the NEDFi Micro Lending Scheme (NMLS), mostly from Assam but also from other North-Eastern states. NMLS is a special scheme that was started last year to provide small business loans to thousands of beneficiaries at the grassroots level for taking up income generating activities. The loan is given to beneficiaries through Business Correspondents (BCs), who are closely working with NEDFi in various districts. The Scheme has been an instant success in the past year.

In the same event, the Chief Guest of the event, K Moses Chalai, IAS, Secretary, North East Council (NEC), inaugurated the NEDFi Foundation Day exhibition, where products from NEDFi CSR initiatives, World Bank-funded APART projects, and products from NEDFi's funded Start-Ups were displayed., stated a press release.
