Obituary: Prof Kamini Mohan Sinha

Prof Kamini Mohan Sinha breathed his last at his house in the Bakrapara area of Beltola here at around 11 pm on August 24 . He leaves behind two sons and a daughter, besides his writer-wife Kumkum Sinha, former Director, SCERT (State Council of Educational Research and Training), Assam.

Late Kamini Mohan Sinha joined Gauhati Commerce College as a lecturer and retired from there as a professor. He was a social worker, besides being a member of the Academic Council of Gauhati University.

Prof Sinha did write a series of articles on the revival of the rural economy in the Bishnupriya Manipuri Community. The articles were published in the Nua Drishti, a Bishnupriya Manipuri and Assamese bi-lingual newspaper, Guwahati.

Prof Sinha was also the president of the Bishnupriya Manipuri Samaj Sanstha, Guwahati.
