Odd-Even policy for Emergency Private Vehicles in Guwahati from April 10

An odd-even policy for private vehicles with emergency permits will come into effect from April 10, Friday in Guwahati. The policy will remain in place till April 12 amidst the nationwide lockdown declared by the Union Government to contain the spread of the deadly new coronavirus. A state government press release has stated, “all private vehicles having permits of movement during lockdown will have to follow the odd-even policy.

all vehicles whose numbers end with an even digit are allowed to ply. Similarly, numbers ending with an odd digit will be allowed the next day. This policy will apply till the 12th of April.” However, all vehicles of the Health Department and its officials, media houses, government employees on duty, vehicles supplying water and full body trucks are exempted from the policy.
