Oikya Sena Asom denies allegation of ransom demand

GUWAHATI: The Oikya Sena Asom on Wednesday denied the allegation made against them by four vendors – Hari Chandra Das, Kamal Das, Jeetendra Saloi and Biswanath Kalita. Notably, the four vendors had lodged an FIR at Bharalumukh police station on Tuesday against the Oikya Sena Asom allegedly for demanding ransom following which a case (No. 910/18 u/s 384 IPC) was registered at Bharalumukh police station. Talking to the reporters here on Wednesday, the leaders of the organization demanded the vendors to disclose the telephone number using which the alleged ransom amount were demanded from the vendors. The organization further stressed that it will extend cooperation to the police for a fair investigation and probe.
