One held for selling railway e-tickets illegally in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Acting on a tip-off, Railway Police Force (RPF) Crime branch with the help of New Guwahati RPF and Dispur police, conducted raid at A2Z Agency at Ganeshguri, on Saturday. The agency was allegedly involved in illegal procuring and supplying railway e-tickets using personal user IDs.

The owner of the agency, Ajay Kr. Sah has been taken into custody and RPF, New Guwahati registered a case vide No. 55/2020 U/S 143 Rlys Act.

The police recovered a total of 45 railway e-tickets generated using different personal user IDs for different persons on different dates and different trains. The total value of the recovered e-tickets is Rs 1,63,689 of which 35 are used tickets worth Rs 1,28,954 and 10 future tickets worth Rs 34,735.
