One killed in Vehicle Collision in Guwahati

GUWAHATI, Aug 16: In a tragic road accident, one M Ganesh Rao (34) of Gosala, Maligaon died on Tuesday night at Shuttle Gate Road near NFR headquarters gate No 2 following a collision among four vehicles – one Wagon R and three other motorcycles.

According to a police source, a Wagon R bearing registration no AS-01BP-7138 hit the motorcycles bearing registration numbers AS-01DR-1475 (Jupiter), AS-01AR-1424 (Activa) and AS-01BP-9794 (Bullet) from behind. Eventually, three riders sustained injury. In the meantime, M Ganesh Rao, the Jupiter rider succumbed to his injuries. In this regard, a case has been registered vide Jalukbari police station case no 1085/18 u/s 279/338/304A/427 IPC against the accused driver of Wagon R who apparently fled away from the spot.
