One Nabbed for Walking Off with A Power of Attorney Deed

GUWAHATI: A team of officers of the Crime Branch, City Police arrested one identified as Kabindra Sen from the Kamrup (M) district Deputy Commissioner’s office premise allegedly for walking off with a power of attorney deed.

According to a government communiqué, one Sabita Sen filed a complaint before the Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (M) alleging that Kabindra Sen in connivance with the officials of Senior Sub-Registrar Office had stolen her deed of Power of Attorney few days back which was later recovered from backup database. On the basis of the complaint Mittal instituted an enquiry and entrusted the responsibility upon Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (M) Nabadeep Pathak. Further, in this regard, Sr. Sub-Registrar of Kamrup (M) lodged an FIR before the DCP (Crime) following which the team of crime branch arrested Kabindra Sen. It was suspected that several land Mafiyas also involved with the case, the communiqué added.
