Online admission portal opened for students of CBSE, other boards

GUWAHATI: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has once again opened its online admission portal 'DARPAN' for admission to Class-XI, this time for students who recently passed the Class-X final examinations conducted by CBSE and other all-India boards.

According to a notification issued in this regard, the portal, which was opened for these students on July 23, will remain open till July 29. The notification further directed all educational institutions to complete the admission process within August 2 next. It also stated that "offline admissions shall not be entertained under any circumstances".

It may be mentioned that educational institutions had been earlier instructed by AHSEC to reserve a portion of seats for students appearing in all-India board examinations while giving admission to students who had passed the Class-X examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam, results of which were declared before that of the examinations conducted by other boards concerned.
