Online registration and uploading of teachers' data extended till December 17

GUWAHATI: The last date of the online registration process for all categories of teachers from lower primary to higher secondary in all government and provincialised schools has been extended to December 17 from December 10.

The notice in this regard was issued by the Special Commissioner of Education department. The earlier two notifications in this regard were issued on November 22 and 26. Those notifications asked the teachers to submit various data of their various activities.

Some of the data sought from the teachers included 'rationalisation', amalgamation, pension disbursement, 'Gunotsav' including transfer. The data are to be uploaded in the website https://hrmsassam.in

However, many teachers were unable to register their names in the government portal due to various reasons.

The 'Sadou Asom Sanmilita Sikshak Mancha ' — an umbrella organisation of 10 teachers' bodies — have moved the Education department to extend the date for submission of data on the portal. The Mancha said in their letter, "We were unable to complete the task owing to the low speed of the Internet, interruption in server link, and too many rush in the local computer cafes.

So, the teachers body urged the government to extend the date of registration.
