Over 92% grievances resolved: Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs

GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCSCA) has resolved 92.66 per cent of the total grievances lodged from January 1, 2016, to July 26, 2021, said an official from the directorate.

According to the official, the cell resolved 8,323 grievances out of a total of 8,982 that were registered during the period. To date, as many as 659 grievances are pending.

The official underlined that after the formation of the new government, the redressal cell has been receiving more complaints. This is due to FCSCA Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass' appeal to the masses to lodge their complaints at the grievance redressal cell, the official added.
