Paltan Bazar police arrested a chain snatcher from Bhangagarh

GUWAHATI: The Paltan Bazar police on Friday arrested a chain snatcher from Bhangagarh. The accused - Nisar Ahmed has been arrested in connection to an incident where two scooty-borne miscreants snatched the chain from the neck of a lady at Ulubari near Barthakur Mill here on September 5. The chain was snatched by the pillion rider and the incident was captured on CCTV cameras. Ahmed is a resident of the Solapara area and the police have seized the scooty (AS01EG3717) which was used in the crime. The police have also recovered the dress which Ahmed was wearing while committing the crime.
