Panchayat Polls: Kamrup Deputy Commissioner asks license holders to deposit arms

GUWAHATI: To ensure smooth and peaceful conduction of the ensuing Panchayat Polls, the Kamrup metro district Deputy Commissioner Virendra Mittal in a release issued on Tuesday directed all licensed arms holders of 21 Gaon Panchayat areas to deposit their licensed arms in the nearest police stations within next three days period of time against proper receipt. Notably, the 21 Gaon Panchayat areas that fall under Kamrup metro district are No. 32 Dharapur, No. 33 Azara, No. 34 Garal, No. 35 Majirgaon, No. 36 Kahikuchi, No. 55 Kamarkuchi, No.56 Digaru, No. 57 Barkhat, No. 58 Baruabari, No. 59 Hahara, No. 60 Tetelia, No. 61 Sonapur, No. 66 Nartap, No. 62 Khetri, No. 63 Topatoli, No. 64 Dhopguri, No. 65 Maloibari, Chandrapur, Panikheiti, Amsing, Pachim Mayong.
