‘Parakram Parv’  observed by Indian Army

GUWAHATI, Sept 28: The Indian Army on Friday inaugurated the two-day ‘Parakram Parv’ to commemorate and showcase the gallant valor and sacrifices made by the members of the Armed Forces in various places across the north eastern region. The event is aimed to reach out to the school students and the civil population residing in the vicinity of the respective venues. The event will be continued for public viewing till September 29. During the exhibition, displaying of various equipments of the Armed Forces enthralled the visitors. In Guwahati, the event was organized simultaneously at Air Force Station, Guwahati and Narengi Military Station.

Various types of weapons and equipments of the Army were on display at the Narengi Military Station. A selfie corner was also established to enable the visitors to take their own selfie. The students from Army Public School, Kendriya Vidhyalaya numbering to around 800 were mesmerized by the equipments displayed at Narengi.

The weapons displayed include MI-17 Helicopter, AVRO, Dronier, various Radars employed in the Air Force and Emergency Medical support system. The event was inaugurated by Air Commodore S Misra, VM, AOC, Air Force Station Guwahati, a communiqué said.
