Parimal Suklabaidya directs Excise officials to carry out drives against illicit liquor

GUWAHATI: Following instruction from State Excise Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, the Department has asked all Excise Superintendents and Deputy Superintendents to carry out drives against sullai or illicit liquor in their respective areas. “If any staff is not attending duties, send emails or whatsapp message so that necessary action can be taken against the negligent official,” an order issued by the Excise Commissioner said.

In sync with the order issued by the Department, the Kamrup (M) Deputy Commissioner has also issued an order later in the day directing all Excise officers and staff of the district to attend office and conduct enforcement drives regularly.
