GUWAHATI: AGP (Asom Gana Parishad) president Atul Bora on Wednesday asserted that the people have supported the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party)-led alliance to bring development in the State and defeat communalism.

Talking to The Sentinel, Bora expressed gratitude to the people of Assam for taking part in the electoral process; thus, resulting in overwhelming voter turnout in the three phases.

Further, he underlined that the BJP-led coalition government will form the next government in the State.

"The Mitrajoot will perform better than 2016 Assembly polls," Bora added.
