Personal enmity may have led to Hatigaon murder

GUWAHATI: The police suspects the personal enmity led to the murder of Jainuddin Ahmed (45), who found dead in a house in the Hatigaon area here on Tuesday morning.

A case (No 246/2022) has been registered in this connection on the basis of an FIR lodged by Ahmed's family.

Police sources said that they suspect the involvement of two killers in the murder and added that investigation is underway.

Ahmed's body was recovered from a house in the Shankar Azan Path- French Path area of Hatigaon. The house belongs to retired engineer who is in Hyderabad with his family for medical treatment. Jainuddin Ahmed lived in a rented house on the opposite side of the road. The Haque family had requested Ahmed to sleep in their house at night to guard the property while they are away.
