Pet thieves held for stealing a German Spitz puppy

Further investigation led to the arrest of Manash Nath of Maligaon, a pet shop owner, who bought the dog for Rs 2,500. The puppy was later handed back to the owner.

Guwahati: A team of the West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) from the Jalukbari Police Station busted a pet theft ring when Rana Das alias Gudu of Kamakhya Colony was arrested for stealing a German Spitz puppy.

According to police sources, further investigation led to the arrest of Manash Nath of Maligaon, a pet shop owner, who bought the dog for Rs 2,500. The puppy was later handed back to the owner.
