PHE Executive Engineer found dead in his flat at Mandakini Apartment in Gitanagar area

GUWAHATI: Mrinal Kalita, Executive Engineer of PHED (Public Health Engineering Department) was found dead in his flat at Mandakini Apartment in the Gitanagar area.

Kalita went out this morning to his office along with his wife. He, however, had to turn back to the flat to take something that he had left there. "When he did not return for a long time, his wife went to the flat and found his body lying on the floor of the flat," a friend of Kalita said.

The friend said, "Theirs was a happy family. While the couple was working, their son is staying abroad."
