Picnic fun turns horrific: Youths dies in drowning in Panikhaiti in outskirts of Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Two youths died in case of drowning in the Brahmaputra at Hatishila in the Panikhaiti area, on the outskirts of Guwahati, on Sunday. According to police sources, nine youths working in a private company went to Panikhaiti for picnic. Five of the nine youths went to the Brahmaputra for bathing, and of them two drowned. The two have been identified as Sanjit Nath of Geetanagar in Guwahati and Jayanta Pathak of Nalbari. The bodies of the two have been fished out by SDRF personnel.
