GUWAHATI: In a big breakthrough, a special squad led by the ACPs of Chandmari, Basistha and Headquarters raided a rented room at Milan Path in Lalmati and arrested two swindlers. Police sources said that 158 ATM cards, a Point of sale (POS) machine, two phones and Rs 21,950 in cash were recovered from the criminals, identified as Anil of Hisar and Vinod of Delhi.

The sources said that Anil and Vinod had been camping in various parts of Assam for the last two months and had shifted to rented house in the city last week.

Investigation is on to ascertain how so many ATM cards came into their possession.
