Poor Performing Emergency Response Officers of 'Mrityunjoy 108’ Terminated from Service

GUWAHATI: After receiving series of complaints and public grievances questioning their poor performance and rude behaviour, numbers of Emergency Response Officers (EROs) of the ‘Mrityunjoy 108’ governed and managed by GVK EMRI Assam were terminated from their services.

Notably, as per annual review procedure of performance of its employees, GVK EMRI management confirmed the services of 75 percent of its existing EROs while 25 percent of these EROs were put into performance improvement plan and few of them were terminated on account of gross poor performance.

As a resistance to the management’s decision, a few EROs gathered together and shouted provocative slogans against the management’s decision besides maligning the image of the organization. Moreover, some of the ladies EROs lodged an FIR at Gorchuk police station against a few managers of the GVK EMRI. However, after a preliminary investigation, the local police could easily establish that the allegations made by these ladies in the FIR were baseless and without any facts. Hence after completing the procedural requirements police cleared the managers from allegations.
