Post Graduate Students' Union, Gauhati University condemns lynching of Debashish Gogoi

GUWAHATI: The students' fraternity has condemned the alleged mob lynching of Debashish Gogoi, that took place at Gabharu Tea Estate in Jorhat district. Condemning the incident, the Post Graduate Students' Union (PGSU), Gauhati University (GU) claimed that such demonic behaviour is a threat for the society. The PGSU, GU said that repetitions of such incidents are very unfortunate. The union appealed the government to take strict action in such cases. Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa expressed his grief and condemned the incident. Seeking help and cooperation in punishing the culprits, Tasa further urged the Commissioner of Jorhat to conduct proper investigation in the case and arrest the culprits.
