Pratap Handique takes charge as new ASTU Vice Chancellor
Gauhati University Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Pratap Jyoti Handique has been asked to look after the duties of the office of the Vice Chancellor, Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU).
GUWAHATI: Gauhati University Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Pratap Jyoti Handique has been asked to look after the duties of the office of the Vice Chancellor, Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU). This has been necessitated consequent upon the demise of Professor Dhiraj Bora, Vice-chancellor, Assam Science and Technology University on June 19, stated a release.
A notification to this effect was brought out in Raj Bhavan on Wednesday where in the Governor Jagdish Mukhi who is also the chancellor of ASTU has allowed Prof. Pratap Jyoti Handique, Vice-chancellor of Gauhati University, on a personal basis to temporarily carry on the routine duties of the office of the Vice-chancellor, Assam Science and Technology University with immediate effect.
