Pre-centenary of Asom Pradeshik Yogi Sanmilani at Sipajhar

GUWAHATI: The Asom Pradeshik Yogi Sanmilani (APYS) is going to celebrate its pre-centenary celebrations with a two-day function at Sipajhar from December 27, 2018. The Sanmilani that was established in December 1919 is going to complete 100 years on December 27, 2019.

Talking to the media in Guwahati, APYS general secretary Dambarudhar Nath said: “The celebration will begin by garlanding the statue of the first APYS general secretary Holiram Nath Saharia at Holiram Nath Saharia Khetra, named after him. There will be flag hoisting. The open session will be at noon on the first day. On December 28, a procession will be taken out at Sipajhar to garland the statues of martyrs like Monobor Nath, Khuli Devi and Konwali Devi. In the afternoon also there will be an open session where APYS’ past and future will be discussed at length. On the both the days there will be cultural functions.”

According to Nath, Assam has a Nath Yogi pollution of 43 lakh.
