Priyobondhu NGO's Breakfast Programme for Children Extended

GUWAHATI, Sept 2: Priyobondhu, an NGO founded by Archana Barthakur, initiated a programme for children under the name and style of ‘Breakfast for a child’ one year ago. The programme was launched by the NGO at Kailashpur Prathamik Vidyalaya at Narakasura hill in the city. The program was launched with the motive of providing breakfast to children of poor families before their classes with a view to ensuring that the children do not attend classes with an empty stomach or underfed. Further, over the last one year, the NGO has been undertaking health check-up programme for the children on every two-month interval. Now that the programme is one year old, the NGO has extended the programme of ‘Breakfast for a child’ to another school named Tiwanagar ME school in the city from Sept 1. Significantly, the NGO is provided assistance by various groups and individuals.
