PSSA to felicitate eight women for their contribution to society

GUWAHATI: On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Pratibandhi Suraksha Sanstha, Assam (PSSA) announced the names of eight women who will be felicitated by the body for their contribution to the welfare of the society.

Addressing the media, PSSA secretary Nripen Malakar stated that the date of the felicitation programme will be announced soon.

The eight women along with the categories in which they will be felicitated are –

*Social service - Executive Director of Sishu Sarathi Keteki Bordoloi.

* Education - School Inspector Deepika Choudhury.

*Health - Dr Nabnita Baruah from Regional Dental College, and Dr Swati Jalan from Institute of Human Reproduction, Guwahati.

*Police service - DSP Pahari Konwar.

*Civil service - Jorhat DC Roshni Aparanji Korati, and P&RD Additional Commissioner Ditimoni Pegu.

*Sports - National-level boxer Rakhi Gogoi.
