GUWAHATI: Nearly a hundred persons with disabilities (PwDs) staged a protest in front of the Janata Bhawan here on Monday demanding immediate announcement of the results of the recruitment examination for reserved Grade-IV posts conducted by the Gauhati University.

The posts were advertised in December, 2018 and the examination was conducted by the Gauhati University in 2021.

The merit list was published in April this year, but led to numerous complaints of anomalies.

According to the secretary of the Pratibandhi Suraksha Sanstha, Assam, Nripen Malakar, the recruitment process has not made any progress till date.

Meanwhile, Assam's Director of Social Justice and Empowerment, Kishore Thakuria has assured the protestors that the final results of the recruitment examination will be announced in December next.
