Railway Protection Force seizes ganja worth Rs 2.5 lakh from Lumding-Guwahati Express

GUWAHATI: Personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) seized 25.9 kg of suspected ganja from a compartment of the Lumding-Guwahati Express on Wednesday. The seized ganja is estimated to be worth about Rs 2.5 lakh.

According to RPF sources, the ganja was found inside three unclaimed bags which were kept near a toilet of the compartment. The ganja was divided into four packets wrapped in cello tape, they said. The seized contraband has been handed over to the OC of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Guwahati, the sources added.
