Railway Quiz and Art Competition held at Regional Science Centre, Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Relating to railway information a Railway Quiz Competition was organized by NF Railway among the school students in the 16 Annual Session of Rangmela Sishu Samaj at Regional Science Centre, Guwahati on January 6, 2019. More than hundred students from the different parts of the state participated in the individual quiz competition.

The quiz was conducted by Nripen Bhattacharyya, Public Relations Officer, N F Railway. He was assisted by Arun Bhagawati, Secretary and his team of the Rangmela Sishu Samaj. The results of the Quiz are as under.

Group B (Class VIII to X) first prize jointly awarded to Jyotiraditya Kashyap of Class VIIl and Aryan Sharma of Class X, Christ Jyoti School, Nagaon. Second prize to Barnali Sarma of Class IX, Maharshi Vidya Mandir School, Barsajai, Guwahati. Third prize to Dwibon Bhargav Deka of Class IX, Shankardev Vidya Niketon .

Group A (Class VI to VII) first prize awarded to Raktim Abhinandan Barman of Class VII of Assam Jatiya vidyalaya. Second prize to Chandmita Das of Class V, Suderashan Public School, Guwahati. Third prize to Manash Pratim Atreya of Class VI of Maharshi Vidya Mandir.

A Railway Art Competition on the subject of Cleanliness in Railway platform or train among the school children from class I to IV was held in the beginning of the session. The First prize was awarded to Anie Kasyap, Gurukul Grammer Sr Secondery School, Guwahati. Second prize to Shreyashri Choudhury, Maryia’s Public School, Guwahati. Third prize to Madhurjya Kalita, Guwahati Public School.

Many informative write ups, documentary films and models of Railways were displayed in a small exhibition during the event which attracted the students and the visitors. The winners of each group of the competition were awarded with prizes and certificates by Nripen Bhattacharyya, Public Relations Officer, NF Railway.
