Railway Quiz at Axam Xahitya Xabha, Raha

GUWAHATI: Relating to railway information a Railway Quiz Competition was organized by NF Railway among the school students in front of the Railway Stall in Axam Xahitya Xabha at Raha on February 3. Students from class V to class X participated in this individual quiz competition.

There were two groups in the competition. Class V to VII was in group A and class VIII to X was in group B. The motto of the quiz was to inform the students about the history, functioning and developmental activities of railways. Many students of the state participated in the competition. The quiz was conducted by Nripen Bhattacharyya, Public Relations Officer, N F Railway. The winners of the quiz competition were given prizes and certificates from Northeast Frontier Railway by Nripendra Bhattacharyya.

According to a press release, from Group A, Anirban Hazarika from Shankar Dev Shishu Vidya Niketan Raha was awarded the First prize, Bituraj Saikia from St. Basil’s Academy Chaparmukh was awarded the Second prize, and Antara Hazarika from Shankar Dev Shishu Vidya Niketan Raha was awarded the Third prize. From Group B, Kiriti Kamal Das from Shankar Dev Shishu Vidya Niketan Raha was awarded the First prize, Mintu Ansari from Raha Adarsh Shishu Vikash Kendra was awarded the Second prize, and Ashish Ranjan Nath from Shankar Dev Shishu Vidya Niketan Raha was awarded the Third prize.

A railway exhibition was also set up with a big stall at Axam Xahitya Xabha, Raha which attracted a large number of visitors. Many informative write ups, documentary films and models of Railways were displayed in the stall. More than lakh of visitors visited the exhibition stall and appreciated NF Railway for organizing the very informative exhibition and Railway Quiz. NF Railway got the Best Exhibition Stall award and certificate from Axam Xahitya Xabha.
