Rajesh Kumar appointed as Border Security Force (BSF) Guwahati IGP

GUWAHATI: Rajesh Kumar assumed the charge of Inspector General of Border Security Force, Frontier HQ Guwahati, on Tuesday.

Kumar belongs to the 1998 batch of the Indian Police Service. He is a Post graduate in M Tech.

Prior to his present posting, Rajesh Kumar served as Inspector General (Ops) at Special DG HQ (Western Command).

After assuming charge he emphasized upon the necessity of effective Border Management to prevent trans-border crimes and strengthening of cordial relations between two Border Guarding Forces. He also stressed to focus upon the welfare of troops and will strive towards winning hearts and minds of the Border populace while accomplishing the assigned tasks impeccably.
