Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat on 4-day State visit

GUWAHATI: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat along with several senior leaders arrived in Guwahati on Tuesday on a four-day State visit.

He is staying at the Banabasi Ashram at Adimgiri Hills near Maligaon. According to reports, Bhagwat held a held a series of closed door meetings on the ashram's premises.

The RSS supremo will be in Guwahati till December 5, and after that, he would visit Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.

He will be back in Guwahati on December 12 and will hold a meeting with RSS workers at Keshav Dham, Paltan Bazar.

Bhagwat's visit is significant as the State is bracing for the forthcoming Assam Legislative Assembly Election 2021. He is also scheduled to meet several senior BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) leaders during his stay.
