Research and industrial conclave underway at IIT Guwahati

GUWAHATI: India Accelerator, India's only GAN-partnered accelerator, has partnered with IIT Guwahati's Technology Incubation Centre and IIT Guwahati to organize the first-ever Research and Industrial Conclave (RIC 2022) to enhance industry-academia collaboration, which got underway on Thursday and will conclude on January 23, stated a press release.

The RIC is being organized since 2015 to nurture young minds towards research, innovation and entrepreneurship by the Students' Academic Board (SAB). It is aimed at providing an exclusive platform for students, young innovators, entrepreneurs, industry experts, professionals, academicians, policy-makers, investors and exhibitors to exchange innovative ideas, knowledge base, showcasing products/services to rejuvenate various research and development opportunities under one roof with a special focus on northeastern states.

Moreover, the conclave also includes dedicated networking schedules, mentoring sessions and showcasing of innovations that will provide new entrepreneurs and students investment opportunities for product development and scaling-up programs.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof TG Sitharam, Director of IIT Guwahati, stated, "It has been our constant endeavour to inculcate innovative mindset and entrepreneurial spirit amongst the students. RIC is one such platform where we aim to bring investors, academicians, policy-makers and all other industry stakeholders under one single platform so that the students have the opportunity to share their ideas with the expert mentors and take guidance in their entrepreneurial and career acceleration programmes. We are extremely delighted that India Accelerator has joined hands with us for taking this noble and nation-building cause forward."
