Reshuffle in Education Department of Assam

GUWAHATI: The Government on Wednesday effected a reshuffle in the Education Department and issued transfer orders to several senior officials. The development comes mere days after administrative work started on January 1 to implement the Centre's New Education Policy.

A Notification this effect was issued by the Principal Secretary of the Education Department.

As per the Notification, Deputy Director of Elementary Education Jyotsna Rani Barman has been transferred and posted as District Elementary Education Officer, Bongaigaon in place of Amir Hussain. She will hold additional temporary charge of Inspector of Schools, Bongaigaon District Circle.

Amir Hussain has been transferred and posted as Deputy Director of Elementary Education.

Subhalakhsmi Rajkumari, District Elementary Education Officer of Sivasagar, has been transferred and posted as District Elementary Education Officer, Jorhat. She will also hold additional temporary charge of Inspector of Schools, Jorhat District Circle.

Deputy Director of Higher Education Jayanta Thakuria has been transferred and posted as District Elementary Education Officer, Dhubri.

Deputy Director of Secondary Education Saju Kumar Jadav has been transferred and posted as Deputy Director of Bodo Medium and Other Tribal Languages.

Lavja Jarambusa, District Elementary Education Officer, Nagaon has been transferred and posted as Deputy Director, Bodo Medium and Other Tribal Languages.

Deputy Director of Secondary Education Madhab Chandra Deka has been transferred and posted as Inspector of Schools, Darrang, while the present incumbent Prabhat Das has been transferred and posted as Inspector of Schools, Sonitpur. Madhab Chandra Deka will also temporarily hold the charge of District Elementary Education Officer, Darrang. Prabhat Das will also temporarily hold the charge of District Elementary Education Officer, Sonitpur.

Devajyoti Gogoi, Inspector of Schools, Jorhat has been transferred and posted as Deputy Director, Secondary Education.

Mridul Kumar Nath, Inspector of Schools, Nagaon District Circle has been temporarily allowed to hold the charge of District Elementary Education Officer, Nagaon in place of Lavja Jarambusa.

Kamal Gogoi, Inspector of Schools, Sivasagar District Circle, has been temporarily allowed to hold the charge of District Elementary Education Officer, Sivasagar in place of Subhalakhsmi Rajkumari.
