Road mishap kills one

GUWAHATI, June 25: In a tragic road mishap occurred on Sunday night at Khanamukh near NH-37 under Azara Police Station, one identified as Moniram Baishya succumbed to death on the spot. According to police source, an unidentified vehicle hit late Baishya from behind killing him on the spot. The deceased, who hailed from Keherubari of Khanamukh was a petty businessman. Following the accident, the local residents of the area came out to the road and staged a protest; however Azara Police brought the situation under their control immediately.
