Road Safety Awareness Campaign in City in Association with Guwahati Traffic Police

Guwahati: Alert today, Alive Tomorrow - a CSR campaign on traffic rules and road safety awareness was organized by Prodigy Communications & Marketing Pvt. Ltd in association with Guwahati Traffic Police at the ABC point, near Rajiv Bhawan from 9 am to 1 pm on Sunday. The campaign witnessed a crowd of around 1000 individuals, supporting the cause at the venue.

Placards, barricades, leaflets, stickers etc were used to promote the cause amongst the pedestrians, drivers, riders etc. Distinguished personalities and celebrities were present to support the campaign.

Siddhartha Bhattacharya, Minister of Education, Guwahati Development Department, Law & Justice, who also attended the event stated, “It is important for every citizen to follow and maintain traffic rules for safety and well-being. Campaigns like Alert Today Alive Tomorrow should come up more often as they are truly essential for public awareness”.

The campaign was successful in initiating awareness. Diganta Das, the brand ambassador of the campaign, said, “Life is very precious. Awareness and alertness can save hundreds of lives including your own. I urge everyone to abide by the traffic rules and stay safe.”

The campaign concluded with a bike and car rally. The rally started at ABC point and covered areas like Ganeshghuri, Zoo Road, Chandmari, Ulubari and Bhangagarh. Fines were imposed on people who were seen violating the traffic rules and those who diligently followed the traffic rules were rewarded.
