Rongali Cyclothon To Promote Cycle Tourism in Assam

GUWAHATI: In an attempt to create awareness about cycling as tourism activity Rongali Cyclothon was organized on Sunday, where almost 100 cyclists from the city participated. The ride is also organized as an effort to create conscious living and make the city more livable. The cycling ride started from Dighlipukhuri and ended at Pobitora. The other cause behind organizing this initiative is to encourage eco-friendly living. Everything Outdoor North East has been organising the cycle rally as a curtain raiser to the three day Rongali Festival since last year. The ride ended at Pobitora where they enjoyed food, music and played indigenous games like tekeli bhonga, rosi tona, kabaddi etc.
