Rotary Club of Guwahati felicitates folk artiste Dhanada Pathak

GUWAHATI: The Rotary Club of Guwahati conferred the Dr. Bhupen Hazarkia Cultural Award to Kamrupi Lokgeet folk artiste Dhanada Pathak at the Guwahati Press Club on Tuesday. The award was conferred during a programme held to celebrate the 116th anniversary of Rotary International.

"Through social appreciation an artiste gets the zeal to do more works in the coming days. I am thankful for this award and it has motivated me to make more Kamrupi Lokgeet music," said Dhanada Pathak, wife of late Ramesh Pathak. The programme was attended by Rotary District Governor Subhasish Chatterjee, Assistant Governor Abhishek Jatani, among others.
