RPF Arrests Kidnapper At Kamakhya Railway Station, Girl Rescued

GUWAHATI, Sept 11: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) rescued a girl on Tuesday from platform no 1 of the Kamakhya Railway Station.

According to a RPF source, one identified as Md Raj Husssain (24) of Bhutnath under Bharalumukh police station allegedly kidnapped the 18-year-old girl a few days ago from Narsari of Kamakhya area under Bharalumkh police station. Following the incident, a case (No.1232 U/S- 368 IPC) was registered on September 9 at Jalukbari police station and the RPF officers were briefed to close watch upon the suspects.

Eventually, on Tuesday during a routine checking, the RPF personnel on duty noticed the alleged kidnapper along a girl moving on PF No .01 at Kamakhya Railway Station. On suspicion, both were detained. Later, on being asked, they disclosed their names and address as was mentioned in the brief.

Meanwhile, both the accused and the girl have been taken under the custody of the Kamakhya outpost for further investigation.
