STAFF REPORTER GUWAHATI: Railway Protection Force (RPF) rescued two minor girls along with a boy from Guwahati Railway station. In a press release, the NFR informed that RPF Crime Intelligence Branch, Guwahati along with the staff was conducting regular checking over Guwahati Railway station and noticed two minor girls and one minor boy moving on PF No-1 near 2nd class waiting for the hall of railway station in a suspicious manner.

Further on being asked regarding their presence in Railway premises they failed to give any satisfactory reply. Meanwhile, on further interrogation, the minors stated that they came to Guwahati by road for onward journey to Delhi in search of any job without intimation to their guardians.

The rescued minors are residents of Lalmati, District-Hojai in Assam.

As such, the rescued minor girls and boy were brought to RPF/Post/Guwahati and provided them food, water, and other essentials.

Notably one of the minor girls has provided one mobile number of her relative and later it was learned that the rescued minors have been missing since yesterday; however, the guardians did not lodge an FIR in this regard.

As per the Railway Protection Force the rescued minor girls and boy are suspected to be trafficked to Delhi.
