GUWAHATI, Sept 19: Noted writer, columnist and RSS’ Uttar Assam Prant Pracharak Doyal Krishna Bora passed away on Wednesday at the age of 65.
Born on January, 1953 at Borongabari in Morigaon, Bora had been under treatment for a long time. He was a poet, a columnist and the acharya of the Ekasaran Bhagawati Dharma. He had 26 books, including Moi Kiyo Communist Noholu, Explanation of the First and the Second Cantos of the Bhagawata, Dhonyo Dhonyo Bharatborish, and Prachin Bharatiya Shiksha, etc, to his credit.
The body of Bora was taken to the RSS office – Keshab Dham – at Paltan Bazar in the city where Chief Minister’s legal adviser Santanu Bharali, some ministers, MPs and MLAs paid the departed soul their last respects. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal condoled the death of Vaishnavite scholar, social worker, writer Doyalkrishna Bora. In a condolence message, Sonowal said: “The Viashnavite scholar made an attempt to make a disciplined society with respect to justice in the State.” State BJP president Ranjit Kumar Das, State Environment and Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya also condoled the death of the RSS leader.
Later in the day, the body of the RSS leader was taken to Morigaon for cremation.
