Safety Conference At N F Railway Headquarters

GUWAHATI: A safety Conference of all Divisional Safety Officers and staff including Head Quarter has been organized on Monday wherein all safety issues were discussed and way and means were suggested to prevent accidents in future. Radhey Raman, Additional General Manager and M K Agarwal, Chief Safety Officer were present in the conference and delivered different valuable suggestions on Railway Safety measures.

According to a press release, N F Railway Safety teams have done tremendous works in the field of staff counselling, public awareness programmes at unmanned level crossings, villages, schools, bus stands, petrol pumps etc. As a result, no consequential train accidents occurred in Katihar, Alipurduar Jn., Rangia Division during 2018-19.

For the outstanding performance of the officers and staff, awards along with certificates have been given to them by Radhey Raman, Additional General Manager and M K Agarwal, Chief Safety Officer in the conference. A documentary film on Saraighat Bridge “An untold story of Saraighat” produced by Tonmoy Dey, Maligaon under the guidance of Nripendra Bhattacharyya, Public Relations Officer was released and watched by the participants. At the end of the conference P K Hira, Deputy Safety Officer offered the vote of thanks.
