Saint Madhavdev’s Death Anniversary Observed

GUWAHATI, Aug 31: Assam Jatiya Bidyalay, Noonmati paid rich tribute to all the Mahapurush’ of Assam commemorating the death anniversary of Mahapurush Madhabdev on Friday at the Bidyalay premises. The day occasion was marked by naam prasanga, borgeet, satriya dance which was followed by a discussion on the contributions made by the great personalities of the soil. During the occasion, a wall magazine was also inaugurated by Dilip Kumar Dutta Choudhury, the president and treasurer of the management committee. Former principal and a senior teacher of the department of mathematics Juthika Patowary dwelt in length on the contribution on greater Assamese society by five great personalities — Sankardev, Madhabdev, Damodardev, Haridev and Anirudhadev.
