SAKSHAM 2022 concludes at Guwahati Refinery

GUWAHATI: The observance of Sanrakshan Kshamata Mahotsav or SAKSHAM 2022 concluded at Guwahati Refinery recently with a valedictory function organized at the Jubilee Hall.

According to a press release, the programme was attended by SP Singh, Executive Director & Refinery Head, senior officials, employees and school children.

Addressing the gathering, SP Singh urged all to act responsibly and to use fuel resources judiciously so that each one of us can benefit from the environment in the future. He emphasized the need for creating awareness amongst the young children, so as to leave a clean and green planet for generations to come. On the occasion, prizes were distributed to all the winners of various competitions held during Saksham 2022.

It may be mentioned that during the observance from April 11 to April 30, efforts have been made to spread the message among the children as well as the general public as a whole by organizing various events like vehicle emission test for employees, quiz competition for employees and homemakers, painting competition for school children, energy conservation awareness programme for contractual employees, CISF, AISF and homeguards and walkathon by Guwahati Refinery (GR) and Guwahati-Siliguri Pipelines (GSPL), duggestion scheme for contractual workers and employees. Like previous year, a competition was held for 'Best Energy Efficient Unit'.

To commemorate the ceremony, a Vriksh Ropan (tree plantation) programme was also organized which was attanded SP Singh and other senior officials present in the programme.
