Samagra Shiksha, Assam approves district transfer of 1,035 teachers

GUWAHATI:  Samagra Shiksha, Assam (SSA) approves the district transfer of assistant teachers from 22 districts. A total of 1035 teachers are eligible for the district transfer.

The District Level Committee of the 22 districts has submitted the places of posting for the 1035 eligible teachers. Among the teachers, there are 918 Lower Primary teachers (LP), 113 Upper Primary (UP) teachers, three LP (People with Disabilities), and one UP (People with Disabilities) for inter-district transfer considering the Pupil-Teacher Ratio (PTR) of the schools. The places of posting for these teachers have been decided. According to SSA sources, the individual transfer order will be generated very soon.

The approved 22 districts are Baksa, Barpeta, Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Cachar, Charaideo, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Golaghat, Hojai, Jorhat, Karimganj, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Morigaon, Nagaon, Nalbari, Sonitpur, and Tinsukia.

In this regard, the Mission Director, SSA, informed the Additional District Commissioner (Education) and District Mission Coordinator of 22 districts through a letter.
