Sanrakshan Kshamata Mahotsav (SAKSHAM) concludes at Guwahati Refinery

GUWAHATI: The observance of Sanrakshan Kshamata Mahotsav (SAKSHAM), an annual mass awareness campaign under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas to spread the message of energy conservation, concluded at Guwahati Refinery with a valedictory function organized on May 8. It is to be mentioned that Guwahati Refinery has observed SAKSHAM 2023 from April 24 to May 8 on this year’s theme, “Energy Conservation towards Net Zero,” with a number of programmes for employees, family members, contractual workers, as well as other stakeholders.

Addressing the gathering, S. P. Singh, Executive Director and Refinery Head of Guwahati Refinery, said that the entire subject of energy conservation is a global concern and must be taken seriously. He further threw light on the various energy conservation measures taken up by the refinery and urged all to put their concerted efforts towards the cause and to act responsibly to leave a clean and green planet for generations to come.

On this occasion, prizes were distributed to all the winners of various competitions held during Saksham 2023, stated a press release.
