The week-long self- defense training camps for girls at Handique Girls' College, Kamrup (M) district under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme concluded on Sunday.
GUWAHATI: The week-long self- defense training camps for girls at Handique Girls' College, Kamrup (M) district under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme concluded on Sunday.
The camp was held at the initiative of the Kamrup (M) district administration and district social welfare office, along with district-level centre for women. As many as 40 girls of Handique Girls' College took part at the camp. The objective of this programme is to boost own spirits and make every girl more confident to protect themselves, a press release said.
